Ashley is a Registered Psychologist in the province of Alberta. Born and raised in Calgary, Ashley completed both her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and her Master of Counselling degree in Calgary. She also completed her post-graduate residency in Calgary.
Ashley has experience working with diverse populations and age ranges and provides counselling in individual, couple and group settings. During her residency, Ashley gained experience and training in working with court-mandated clients, and male and female perpetrators of domestic violence. Ashley also has training and experience treating a variety of clinical issues such as anxiety, depression, grief/bereavement, self-esteem and trauma.
Ashley works with adults and adolescents and uses an eclectic and collaborative approach. Ashley’s sessions are supportive, yet structured, using interventions guided by several treatment modalities. Some of these treatment modalities include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-focused (SFBT), and Attachment Theory. Ashley believes in life-long learning and is always eager to learn and further develop her therapeutic skills. She has completed additional training in DBT and plans to receive training in the Gottman method and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR).
