Marci is a registered psychologist in Alberta, holding a Master of Counselling Psychology Bachelor of Arts degree with distinction in Psychology. She completed her internship and post-graduate residency in Calgary.
With a wealth of experience in public and community settings, Marci provides individual, couples, family, and group services to diverse populations and age ranges. Her extensive training spans a broad spectrum of psychosocial issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, marital issues, obsessive compulsive disorder, chronic pain and grief. She has a particular expertise in supporting individuals who have experienced complex trauma, personality disorders, and emotional regulation challenges.
Marci is committed to creating a trauma-informed, safe, and supportive environment for her clients. She believes that the therapeutic relationship between client and therapist is pivotal to healing from trauma and related issues. Recognizing each person’s unique story and circumstances, she adopts a holistic biopsychosocial approach that addresses their comprehensive needs through a collaborative and integrative methodology.
Her practice is enriched by various therapeutic modalities, including Narrative Therapy, Emotion Focussed Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. Marci also incorporates mindfulness and somatic-based practices, ensuring a compassionate, personalized, and effective therapeutic experience for every client.
